These answers will give you lots of information – from sustainable coffee to espresso machines to latte art and more. What’s the difference between light and dark roast coffee? You may have seen that there are different types of roasted coffee beans: these can range from light roast to dark roast. Other than the visual difference (dark roast beans are indeed darker in colour!), there are some key flavour differences too. Dark roast coffee beans have been roasted for longer, and have been heated to higher temperatures. Due to the breakdown of acids in the roasting process, they become denser and a more bitter flavour is produced. Here are two ways to make incredible coffee ice cream – one with a ice cream machine, and one without. Recipe 1: ice cream maker Ingredients: 600ml of whole milk 540ml of double cream 300g of granulated sugar 1 pinch of salt ½ cup fresh brewed coffee (you can use decaf if you’re serving this to kids or anyone sensitive to caffeine) 6 egg yolks 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract An ice cream maker Method: As with many ice creams, you’ll need to start by making a custard. We’re always looking for the newest thing – so here are three more coffee cocktails for you to try at home. Cocktail 1: Reverse espresso martini Yes, you read that right! This cocktail reverses the espresso martini that you know and love. The lovely coffee flavour is slowly released as the coffee ice cubes melt. It’s a great, creamy cocktail that you can enjoy all year round. Ingredients: 30ml  freshly brewed espresso 50ml vodka 25ml Baileys Method: Make 30ml of fresh espresso Freeze the espresso in an ice cube tray until frozen solid.
